The first commercially available seeds were regular and until the emergence of feminized seeds, regular marijuana seeds were the source of all cannabis production.

Using current cross-breeding techniques we now have the chance to insert the desired characteristics of different strains into hybrid varieties, giving the best features of both parents.

In this highly technical work, it is not only the aroma or the effect that are of interest. We can also enhance properties such as resistance to dry climates and speed of flowering, to give just a couple of examples.

In our regular Indica marijuana seeds we find seeds that produce males and females in an approximate proportion of 50/50, with short flowering periods and high resistance to sudden temperature change, fruits of our careful selection process for specific characteristics. As in the case of our McEarly Regular, the result of four parental lines of proven stability that gives a super-short flowering period, and a plant that can be harvested in early September.

Regular sativa marijuana seeds, also produce male and female plants in a 50/50 ratio, however, these phenotypes are more resistant to high humidity levels, and give higher percentages of THC.

By keeping these two varieties regular, Kannabia Seeds offers a way of obtaining male plants to father a breeding project of regular cannabis seeds or to produce interesting characteristics in a mother plant.

Many people spend their time working as breeders, conserving genetics and developing new ones. For these reasons, it is sometimes very useful to have a good male to perform the crosses.
