Purple Kush
The indica of Eden
Our seed bank is renowned for several high-quality strains. However, our Purple Kush has become one of our most iconic references in just a few years, a calling card that we’re extremely proud of. Many of you have already tried the fruits of this hybrid indica variety with purple, violet and lilac flowers and intense green leaves. In 2017, a genetic success led us to finding the perfect cross between the best of the Hindu Kush’s Afghan paradise and the popular, multi-faceted Black Domina, resulting in a dynamic, resistant and powerful bush.
Purple Kush is a strain that’s born to thrive. You’ll be able to enjoy dramatic flowering in 60 days, dazzling your garden with a festival of colours and aromas, while purple tones will begin to appear in swollen buds that are loaded with resin from the fourth week. Both aesthetically and sensitively, the plant that you’ll see evolving is a genuine spectacle. Its sweetness is so intense that it can be a real temptation for more than one pest, but there’s nothing to worry about: it’s designed to resist both mites and the necessary treatment against them. You’ll feel like you’re nurturing a purple cotton candy plant.
How to: Purple Kush
With these feminised marijuana seeds, you’ll obtain a remarkable crop with little effort as it’s not a very delicate hybrid. Although it’s been bred with the most experienced growers in mind, it can be planted in practically any climate by beginners who want to admire the growth of a beautiful plant full of moist trichomes and resinous flowers. It works both indoors and outdoors, maintaining a high THC content (above 22%) and a low CBD content (below 0.05%) as with good indica strains. Of course, in an outdoor Mediterranean climate we can assure you that your Purple Kush could reach two metres in height with a crop of up to 800 grams per square metre. We leave it to you to decide whether you’ll direct her with a ScrOG netting or have the patience to let her grow happily with low-stress training; both techniques can be used.
The harvest is expected in October, and we’ve found the key to the joy of abundance without the need for complexities in nutrients. Your plant will give you what you need with moderate, natural fertilisation.
Taste and effect of Purple Kush
The purple hue and abundance of colour may depend on the phenotype, but the taste of Purple Kush will always be unparalleled. While the indica blend of her Black Domina parent provides the earthy and piney notes, the dominant Kush leaves that sweet, fruity flavour of peach, grape or wild berries.
Sampling it is an exceedingly nocturnal experience. With Purple Kush, you embark on a delicious crescendo that explodes in your mind and afterwards leaves you in a relaxed, mellow state. However, because the indica sedative effect is not too strong, you feel calm, not wasted. This variety is especially recommended for alleviating possible migraines and headaches, especially when stress-related. An authentic cerebral experience that’s full of sophistication.
Purple Kush has been widely appreciated since we launched it onto the market, especially among the American public as a result of the great demand for Kush marijuana seeds in North America. It’s related to Hindu Kush, a seed which has been used in many trials, some unsuccessful or understudied, and we at Kannabia dedicated a lot of time to creating a robust and stable proposal with Hindu Kush that represents us as a specialist seed bank.
